Rose Ella LeFever, 88, Oblong, Illinois passed away at 12:40 a.m. Sunday, May 29, 2011, at the United Methodist Village, Lawrenceville, Illinois. Born in Crawford County, Illinois near Oblong, she was the daughter of Carl Lloyd Womer and Goldia “Goldie” Mae (Holt) Womer. She was a graduate of Oblong Township High School – Class of 1941. She worked for Goldsmith’s Clothing Store, Oblong, IL and later for Crawford Memorial Hospital in Admissions retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church, Oblong, Illinois; Illini Prairie Quilt Club; life member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Marine, Illinois. Rose Ella loved quilting; crocheting; knitting; ceramics; painting and flowers.
On August 29, 1941, she married Don Ercil LeFever, who preceded her in death on November 3, 1980. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Waneta Womer and Geneva LeFever; brother-in-law, Rex LeFever and one niece Carlene Russell.
Rose Ella is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna & Jim Bowman, Anita & Mike Catt and Rose Ann LeFever; four granddaughters, Gina & Bart Buettemeyer, Angie Catt, Lee Ann & Mike Rosborough and Valerie & Brian Weck; six great-grandchildren, Megan Rosborough, Alyssa Rosborough, Ian Rosborough, Harper Weck, Caleb Buettemeyer and Ethan Buettemeyer; one niece, Susan & Gary Shipe; and two nephews, John & Phyllis LeFever and Kent & Gail LeFever.
Rev. Howard Bell will officiate the funeral service. Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery, rural Jasper County, Illinois.
